Rhodeygirl’s Fashion Tips
All my friends will say that I have a classic, elegant style. I say that I am just a little lazy. Here are my tips for always looking put together:
1. Invest in a few timeless, great fitting pieces, even if they are a little pricey.
*If the quality is there they will last a long time and can be accented with the latest trend or style. By timeless I am talking dark jeans, black pants, a white button down shirt, white t-shirt, blazer, simple dress, etc.
2. Don’t be afraid to take a risk!
*Ok, maybe the Italian trend of wearing one long earring and one short one never made it to the U.S., but I wasn’t afraid to take a chance! Some of my favorite outfits were born that way!
3. Buy inexpensive trendy accent pieces if you like the trend of the moment.
*Don’t bother investing in an expensive trendy piece that will look dated by next summer. If you really want it, buy a few fun inexpensive pieces that you won’t feel bad about donating next year!
4. Keep it simple so you can accessorize your heart out!
*I love to wear really simple outfits and then funk them up with cool jewelry and other accessories. Every time I travel somewhere I buy a new piece and it keeps my look always new and different!
5. A little lotion, lip gloss, and a smile go a long way!!!
Some examples…

My shirt is from a little boutique in Rhode Island. It is funky and pairs well with my inexpensive jeans for a fun night out! Simple and understated is the way to go.

This dress is from Bebe 2004. It is simple enough that I can carry it year after year and just change up the accessories. This time I wore it with a pair of eclectic earrings I bought in Argentina in 2004.

The earrings

I totally took a risk on this dress! I am not the type to ever wear ruffles and they usually don’t look good on me, but this dress was fun and flirty do I went for it! It is from last summer at Express. Sometimes taking a risk pays off! I love this dress!

And don’t forget, if all else fails, a big smile, some lip gloss, and lotioned legs can do wonders! My shirt and shorts in this picture are from Old Navy, but you can’t tell because I am all smiles right?
Thank you for the opportunity to share my tips with you, and happy styling!
Xoxo,
Sabrina
