Try it- Blogger meet-up
Categories:
Well after FINALLY getting 8 hours of sleep, I’m feeling (almost) back to normal! Isn’t it crazy how much our bodies CRAVE to get back into our routines after being away? I’m hoping I’m 100% back in the game by tomorrow.
It’s really good to be back home, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a pretty bangin’ time on my trip (even if I was working for almost all of it).
You may remember me mentioning that I met up with some fantabulous bloggies while I was in the Windy City. People, you have got to TRY IT (ha, see where I’m going with this?)!
Seriously, next time you are traveling, or even in your hometowns, look around and see what other bloggers (or readers!) are in the area.
Why, you ask? Because this network community (that sounds nicer, doesn’t it) of bloggers we’re all apart of here is nothing short of AMAZING. And, not taking the opportunity to possibly step outside your comfort zone and meet some of these incredible people would be a waste.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that I was able to chat and dine with the following:
Mara from What’s for Dinner?
This girl is a hoot! So full of life, she’s always smiling and really lights up the room with her presence. I loved chatting with her about her upcoming wedding (her dress is GORGE!).
Michelle from Lucky Taste Buds
Such a sweetheart (with fantastic skin, by the way– seriously, this girl glows!) I also love her passion and enthusiasm for FOOD!
Jenn from Eating Bender
My Kindred spirit! Jenn and I have so much in common from the men in our lives to our chosen field of study/profession. Jenn is so down to earth so easy to talk to – I kinda love her – and how couldn’t I, when we’re so alike?
Mystery lady
Can’t say much, but she is fantastic, adorable and incredibly awesome.
Mara suggested Cafe Laguardia, which was a Cuban restaurant located in the heart of Bucktown (my old stomping grounds!). I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant…

Cafe LaGuardia
I ordered the garlic shrimp, which came with black beans and rice. I ate all the black beans a few bites of the rice. DELICIOUS!

Garlic Shrimp
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed hanging out with these ladies. It was so fun to chat about food, blogging and just life in general!

Yay bloggies! - excuse my demon-eyes!
I urge you all to find out which of your favorite bloggers or readers are in your area and organize a get-together! You never know what friendships will be made or what you’ll learn about someone in person.
Have you met up with bloggers in person?
