Fashion Friday – STILL waiting to bust out the summer wardrobe!

Happy Friday, everyone!

The weather was very crummy this week, but I was READY FOR SPRING! I chose outfits that incorporated ’springy’ dresses with warmer pieces that would keep me comfortable in my FRIGID office!

By paring the short sleeve dress (yes, that is a dress, the pieces are attached!) with leggings, it becomes not only work appropriate, but also warm enough for the cooler temperatures.

  • Dress – Theory
  • Shoes – Calvin Klein

SO SIMPLE!

Next I paired a black and white summer dress with a warm, comfy cardigan. While I like the simplicity of black and white, I wanted to add a bit of personality. With the addition of a bold belt and bright shoes, I felt a lot more ’springy!’

Now, let’s see what everyone else came up with this week!

Lydia

Lydia

Welcome, Lydia! Thanks so much for joining us! I LOVE this outfit, My favorite pieces are the key necklace and the scarf. People, this is why you HOLD ON TO THINGS! See how much personality both of these pieces add to this outfit? I love the colors that Lydia has worked into the outfit, too. They play off each other so beautifully. LOVE the jewel-toned teal top.

  • Scarf - vintage, from Lydia’s Grandmother
  • Key Necklace - from a Friend (in 8th grade)
  • Lace Tank Top - JC Penney’s
  • Teal top - Ross
  • Pants - Marshall’s
  • Kitten Heels - Ross
Marion

Marion

Marion, always incredibly adorable, looks relaxed and chic in her outfit this week. I love the punch of PINK!

  • Skirt – Citizens of Humanity
  • Pink tank top - Martin + Osa
  • T shirt - Banana Republic
  • Shoes - Oh Deer
Sue

Sue

Sue, looking stunning as always, WOWS us with another flea market find! The vintage feathered headband really pulls this outfit all together. I love that Sue takes risks with her clothing and incorporates these beautiful, bold pieces!

  • Top -Forever 21
  • Shoes - Loehmann’s (one of her favorite stores)
  • Headband - flea market find
Sherry

Sherry

Sherry wins the award for BOLD COLOR this week. LOVE the jacket and bag — reminds me of sherbet ;) The white pants, really makes the colors pop (and fit your perfectly, by the way…)! Spring has sprung, people!

  • Jacket – H & M only $15.00 on clearance!
  • Both T shirts – Gap
  • Jeans – DKNY
  • Suede flats – not sure
  • Duffel bag – Lilly Pulitzer. Sherry wears it like a bucket bag for everyday and switches it back to a duffel bag for the beach. LOVE multifunctional pieces, such as this!

And the winner is….

RANDOM INTEGER #4 – Congrats, Sherry! I’ll send out your prize ASAP

Thanks to all for entering and I hope to see more of you next week!

I love how you wore the purple shoes with a green belt! I still have to work on not being so matchy. But I was raised on being matchy, hard to over come. I fight it every day LOL!

Man, I am so jealous! Scientists never get to dress cute. I tried once and everyone assumed my IQ dropped for the day. How did I get the only job in the world where cuteness is a liability?

p.s. LOVE the green belt ;)

  16. Emily L. says:

That black and white floral dress. I can’t believe it was <$30.
