Daily Delish – Italian Turkey Wrap

Categories:

Daily Delish

As much as I love going out to lunch (who doesn’t?), I pack one at least 4 times a week (every day for the past few months). Not only do I love saving money, but I also like knowing that I’ll have a healthy and delicious lunch. Today’s creation was quite serendipitous (love that word!), because I had no idea what to make with the little that we had in our fridge — it’s definitely time to go grocery shopping!

I scrounged around for a bit and ended up throwing together an Italian Turkey Wrap, which included: a Lite Italian Flatout wrap, oven roasted turkey, reduced fat provolone cheese and my favorite pasta sauce.

I ‘nuked it for 1 minute and enjoyed the melty, cheesey goodness while I caught up on some blogs.

Cheesy, saucy goodness

Cheesey, saucy goodness

This was so delicious! It tasted like pizza (without all the grease!) all rolled up into a hunk of deliciousness. So yummy! Incredibly healthy, too. The whole thing was only 250 calories and more than 20 grams of protein!

What is your favorite thing to pack for lunch? What do you include in your favorite wrap?

Your turkey wrap looks delish! I toast my wraps with a sprinkle of high quality EVOO, fresh herbs and cheese. A great lower-cal substitute for pizza.

  4. Heating up the wrap and melting the cheese is a great idea!

Lately, I love cucumber yogurt dill sauce (non fat Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, salt & pepper) in my wraps.

I love wraps! I always use hummus and spinach as the base for my wrap and then play with anything that I have on hand!
But my fav combination is some brown rice with Green, red and yellow peppers, onion and hummus!( Oh and Red pepper flakes)

Great idea to add the sauce and cheese and then nuke it! I need to remember these tips – also the crack wrap that’s been going around!
