Daily Delish – Mom’s home cookin’ :)

Daily Delish

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but my mom is a 4th grade teacher. Which means for about 80 days a year, I hate her guts I’m so happy for her that she gets holidays and summers off!

This week, my mom was on spring break. Now, while many teachers take this opportunity to relax, unwind and spend the day in their PJ’s, my mom is a tazmanian devil. Scratch that, shes a tazmanian devil on speed.

This week she has:

And that was just Mon-Wed. I’m sure she’ll remind me of a few things I’m forgetting. Anyway, since she has the week off, and more time to cook a nice meal, she offered to have the Mister and I over for dinner last night. I know, she’s awesome.

This was the perfect way to cap off a busy day. Relaxing with the fam, enjoying an amazing meal cooked by my Mom! Thanks, mom – you rock! ;)

Do you still go over your parents for dinner? How often?

I’ve never heard of that bread but it looks right up my alley! Is it prepackaged or in the bakery?

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I see that you are also a fan of the seeduction bread. It is so super-delish.

I’m reading the rules for your fashion contest next…

also, am excited for the pesto… i LOVE making pesto, but mine has pine nuts and parmigiano, not exactly diet friendly to have all the time!

i LOVE bread. (a little too much)
i can’t wait to try that.

also, i can’t wait for the recipe for that sauce.

  9. Awww. No, I barely ever go to my mom’s house because we live too far away from each other. I wish we were close enough for a casual ‘come over for dinner’ kind of night now and then.

I lovelovelove seeduction bread from Whole Foods!! So does my husband. He can never remember the correct name and always requests that I buy “seedalicious bread”. :)

That Parmesan salmon looks pretty fabulous too.

We don’t go over to my parent’s house so often anymore. My dad is on a new job, and he gets home later than a good time to feed the kids. (I don’t know if that sentence made any sense grammar-wise.) Anyhow, we see them often, but not for dinner.

Can’t wait to see the fashion plates…

That bread does look amazing! My mom is a teacher too, and I’m so jealous when she gets weeks and months off at a time. She’s also not very good at relaxing and always has too many projects during spring break to count!

I would definitely be going to dinner at my parents’ house if they lived nearby, but since they are so far away, it isn’t really an option. For now, we just exchange recipes. :-)
