Daily Delish – Chocolate fix!

So this morning was extremely rushed. The Mister and I got to the gym late (by no fault of mine, of course ;) - let’s just say The Mister likes taking his time in the morning ) I rushed to get ready and pack my lunch (so dumb for not doing it last night!) and still got out the door much later than I would have liked. Despite the late start, I still managed drop off the Mister (worst part of my day ;( ) and get to work on time.

I should give myself more credit with my lunch-packing skillz (like that ‘z?’), because I must have known how much I would need a chocolate fix mid-morning.

Only 100 hundred calories and a healthy dose of vitamins, to boot!

I see there is a dark chocolate pomegranate flavor – has anyone tried this yet? Looks delish!!

    I’ve been seeing those Vitabrownies all over my favorite blogs! I need to check those bad boys out…

    I try to do fruit in the AM…for some reason I crave sweet things at that time of day!

    thanks for your comment! i wish they sold vitamuffins/brownes/tops in the UK, they always look so good. i love pairing black coffee with something sweet like dates, dark choc, a little baked something etc. in the morning – great pic me up!

    Run Sarah, I live in Canada too and I ordered some online, because I can’t find any in stores either :) (even though they’re supposed to be there).

    My taste in snacks changes all the time…right now I’m obsessed with having a handful of almonds and a few dried apricots. Yum! Oh, and edamame ;)

    I have those sitting in my freezer right now :) Usually I don’t have a mid morning snack but lately I’ve been enjoying Newman’s Own Hermits – very good!

    Shannon, I know!! I have to measure it out because if I didn’t, I could eat the whole bag!! Before finding the frozen edamame I eat now, I found some that was already out of its shell…and it wasn’t as good! Weird :)

    I haven’t tried the vitabrownies yet either, but I love the chocolate vitamuffins – so ooey and gooey and chocolatey after you heat it up. YUM! :)

    I really like Vita Brownies, but haven’t had them in a long time! My grocery carries the box mixes in addition to the frozen ones, so I like to get them and make my own. Now I want one!

    Chocolate vita brownies are the best. Especially sliced in two and made into a sandwich with a bit of whipped cream. That’s definitely my favorite way to eat them!

    This morning, I had a piece of the chocolate banana snack cake that I made last night as a little snack. I brought some in to share with co-workers, and friends don’t let friends eat cake alone! :-)
